WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?

As you have probably discovered, underwater navigation can be tricky, especially here in Toronto as the water visibility isn’t always great. During this course, we will teach you about essential underwater compass use and natural navigation techniques. This will boost your confidence and safety underwater.

Description

WHO IS IT FOR?

Take this course as soon as you have logged 25 dives after your Recreational Diver Course and before the Rescue Primer, as the latter requires competence in navigational skills.

This primer will also prepare you to dive in reduced light conditions (i.e. night dive) and how to safely use a diving spool

PREREQUISTES:

Applicants for a GUE Rescue Primer must:
Be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Be physically and mentally fit.
Be a non-smoker.
Be able to swim.
Obtain a physician’s prior written authorization for use of prescription drugs, except for birth control, or for any medical condition that may pose a risk while diving.
Have passed the GUE Recreational Diver 1 course or a GUE Fundamentals course at the “recreational” level.
Have completed at least 25 non-training dives.

Diving Expenses:

The below prices are approximate estimates and will be paid directly to the corresponding operators:

Course Registration on GUE’s website: 45 USD
Boat Dive: TBC
Nitrox fees: 30 CAD per tank
Equipment Rental: TBC
Hotel fees: When applicable where travel is required – shared among all students.

Terms:

The registration fee has to be paid to GUE from GUE’s website directly. Please note that this fee is not included in the price above.
All payments are non-refundable.
Class must run with a minimum of 2 students
The price is exclusive of the diving expenses, students will have to pay those fees directly to the dive operator.
Instructor’s diving and travel expenses to be shared equally by all students
